Day 146 (7p21.3-7p21.1): an Ets gene important in prostate cancer


Day 146 has only 18 protein-coding genes (browser view) including ETV1 (Ets variant 1).

ETV1 is one of 29 Ets transcription factor genes in the human genome. Besides its normal role in development, it can cause prostate cancer when it breaks and fuses with another gene, and it is important in the progression of all prostate cancer.
