Day 269 (13q14.2-13q21.1): two cancer-suppressing microRNAs

Day 269 has 40 protein-coding genes (browser view) and also some important noncoding genes, like MIR15 and MIR16-1 (microRNA 16-1).

The microRNAs in this region are often found deleted in chronic lymphocytic leukemia, pointing to their normal role in controlling the cell cycle by regulating other genes.
